Palas is an Australian jewellery design, manufacture and wholesale company. Palas began with a small range of 30 earring styles when it launched to retailers back in 1996 and now has over 1000 jewellery designs in its portfolio. The Palas jewellery design collection has been developed by Eran Svigos and Anna Dimond – both with qualifications and experience in design and business.
The Palas jewellery collection is now designed in Australia by myself (Anna Dimond). I stay true to Eran's original vision and commitment to consistently unique designs whilst creating new experiences in every range. I am continually inspired by Eran as a designer and as a person. Eran was the creator of the Palas 'look' way back in 1996 and continued to build and grow the design arm of Palas so naturally and intuitively. She never replicated but always drew inspiration from deep within. She gave Palas a unique design edge and this is what I have strived to maintain in designing each new collection since 2007 (when Eran passed suddenly aged 34). Design was Eran's form of expression in life and jewellery was just one facet of the creative stamp she placed on our world.
Having won Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year in 2000 for SA, I have grown to appreciate my combined role of business manager and creative. My creative influences are also shaped by the market – what women want to wear and what they want to pay for quality jewellery that is designed in Australia and hand crafted. Palas has evolved as a niche brand that combines unique design and styling at sensational price points. This business model is supported by dedicated client service and commitment to designing from scratch. Palas isn't simply 'bought in from overseas' it is designed right here in Australia for our customers to enjoy – available in 500 stores nationwide (and growing).
Fashion focused, not fashion driven – the Palas concept achieves a simple and modern aesthetic teamed with cool functionality that is evident in every beautiful piece. It was always our desire that Palas jewellery would be part of women's personal jewellery collections across the world, transcending time and being worn endlessly to be left for another generation to enjoy. These are timeless designs that are beautiful in their simplicity – quality workmanship at extremely affordable prices.

Palas continues to be inspired by Indonesia’s traditional methods of silver smithing and admires the creative artisan community that exists there. Palas jewellery is hand crafted in solid sterling silver (925) in Indonesia. Palas not only designs every piece of jewellery but also most of the gemstones and components featured in each range.

My main design influences are nature, culture, colour, beauty and travel – I re-interpret these experiences and observations into beautiful jewellery pieces for women of the world to enjoy and style in their own unique way.
